About This Place

Welcome to the world of Starbucks, a café that transcends the ordinary, offering more than just a cup of coffee. Nestled in the heart of Mérida, Mexico, at C. 60 496, Centro, this renowned brand unfolds its charm in a beautifully converted mansion, enriching your coffee experience with a touch of history and elegance.

At Starbucks, you can expect the same familiar Frappuccino and quality brews that have made the brand a global favorite. Each sip transports you back home, even as you sit in this unique setting. Patrons like Karl Schultz rave about the ambiance, particularly inviting you to explore the upstairs seating, promising a blend of cozy corners and inspiring views.

Beyond the coffee, the staff here deserve a mention. Reviewers such as Viviana Aguilar have appreciated their genuine warmth and efforts to bridge language barriers, ensuring that even foreign visitors feel at home. It’s not just about the coffee—it’s about connection and community. However, it seems that busy hours might bring a languid pace, as noted by Robert McCann, where socializing becomes a part of the experience. Yet, many find this to enhance the café's charm, a place to pause and enjoy the moment while indulging in your favorite drink.

The setting itself is a highlight. Richard Parmelee describes it best: it’s located in the legendary El Gran Hotel, overlooking a spectacular park. Whether you choose a quaint spot indoors or the outdoor seating to soak in the vibrant surroundings, each table offers a little slice of tranquility amidst the bustle of Centro.

And if you’re seeking that perfectly crafted drink, look no further. Emily Quinn emphasizes that the drinks come out 'perfectly made with a bit of love.' Whether you opt for alternative milk or stick with classic choices, each cup maintains the quality you expect from Starbucks, all at reasonable prices.

So, whether you're a local or just passing through, Starbucks at Mérida is more than just a café. It’s a sanctuary for coffee lovers, a communal space, and a little piece of home infused with local flavor. Make it a point to stop in—you’ll leave with more than just caffeine; you’ll carry memories of warmth, connection, and a unique experience.

First class operation with Same Frappuccino as every Starbucks But this location is in a converted mansion make sure you go upstairs

Staff is super nice. They even try so hard to communicate with foreigners.

A nice Starbucks in an amazing location. Has good wifi, access to bathrooms and the coffee tastes the same as back home. The problem is the line up that moves at a snails pace as the employees seem to rather socialize than to focus on making drinks. Still it's a nice stop in the heart of the city for a taste of home.

Starbucks with a great location. Located in the legendary El Gran Hotel with outdoor and indoor seating. Looks out of a spectacular Park and as close to Centro.

Very helpful staff, drinks come out perfectly made with a bit of love!!! Make sure to use a translator app if you don’t speak Spanish. Large is a 500ml container for $107 pesos (if you get alternative milk) I suggest sitting inside unless you want people to come up to you asking you to buy things or try to convert you to JW religion!

Great central location to sit and have yourself an ice coffee or cold drink... lots of vendors selling things in the little palette and great for people watching! Pic is from just around the corner of paulette.
